Buxton City Council Meeting and Tax Equilization Meeting May 12th  2011
 
Members present: Mayor Gene Rosholt, Travis Hegg, Rhea Benning, Rick Aamold, Gregg Johnson.

Mayor Gene called the meeting to order. Tammy Petri approached the council to extend the closing until 2am @ The Triple VVV Lounge. Rick made a motion to aproove the 2am opening through August 12th for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights,  in turn the council will then decide if it will be made permanent. Rhea 2nd, motion carried.
 
Mayor Gene opened the tax equalization meeting. Janet told the council no increase letters were sent to the residents of Buxton.  Rhea made a motion to accept the 2011 tax rolls, Gregg 2nd, motion carried. No residents of the City of Buxton attended the meeting. Travis made a motion to close the Tax equalization meeting, Rhea 2nd motion carried.
 
Mayor Gene read the minutes from the April City Council meeting, Rick made a motion to approve, Travis 2nd, motion carried.
 
Rhea made a motion to approve the bills, Gregg 2nd motion carried.

Travis made a motion to have mandatory visible house numbers on each residential home in the City of Buxton. These house numbers must be installed by July 31, 2011 or the Buxton Fire Dept. will install the numbers for you, and the City will bill residents $25.00 each. This is for emergency purposes. Gregg 2nd, motion carried.
 
Rhea made a motion to allow the streets to be closed on Broadway and the surrounding area for the Triple VVV street dance to be held in July on the condition the street and surrounding areas be cleaned and open by the following morning. Travis 2nd motion carried.

Mayor Gene called the meeting to order. Amy read the minutes from the March City council meeting. Travis made a motion to approve the minutes, Rick 2nd motion

Gary from Central Valley Bean addressed the council about installing 5 new bins with a Tax exemption of 100%  for 5 years and 50% for 5 years. Travis made a motion to approve, Rhea 2nd motion carried.
 
Travis from the Reynolds United Coop addressed the council about installing 2 new bins, and conveyors, with a Tax exemption of 100% for 5 years and 50% for 5 years. Rick made a motion to approve, Rhea 2nd motion carried.
 
Travis made a motion for the City to have the City lot surveyed, Rick 2nd motion carried.
